• About Us

  Since its founding in 1990, the Tyrone Area Historical Society has pledged itself to the preservation, interpretation, and encouragment of interest in the unique history of Tyrone, PA.  Our goal is to ensure that present and future generations can share in and understand the rich heritage of this central Pennsylvania town.

  Our Tyrone History Museum, located at the Rail Park, is open on Sundays and Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m.  Our Archives and Research Center, located in the Tyrone Shopping Center, is open on Wednesday from 1 to 4 p.m., or by appointment.  Please call 814-684-5141.
