Breaburn Falls FarmTyrone, PA, 16686See map: Google MapsSpring is in the air and so are the chuckers. Had about 20 in the front yard on Tuesday, March 20, 2007. It was about 7am and I was heading out to the car for work when I noticed them. They were everywhere. I had my camera handy and I was able to get some quick footage. I think if I would have opened the door they would have jumped right into the car.
American Robin and Spring
March 1, 2007 - 11:02am — ecooley
Spring is coming. Days are longer. Temperatures this week are expected in the 40s. I was even listening to the news this morning and was for warned of potential flooding from heavy rains that will move into the area. All of these signs of spring’s eminent arrival are not as welcomed as seeing the first American Robin.

Haddock Courting Noises
January 31, 2007 - 2:32pm — mikesscuba
I love to listen to music while I work. It relaxes me, puts me into the right frame of mind and blocks out all the noise. However, there is only so much classic, and lite Jazz a man can take in one day. The British Library has released a new CD called “Sounds of the Deep, An exploration of life in our seasâ€.

Sharks = Fuel Effiency
January 30, 2007 - 3:18pm — mikesscuba
I happened upon a new website called Shark Trust. Established in 1997, the Shark Trust is the UK registered marine charity dedicated to promoting the study, management and conservation of sharks, skates, rays and chimeras (Elasmobranchs). The Trust works through a series of scientifically supported campaigns, research and education programms, and strives to provide guidance, facilitate decisions, influence legislation and raise public awareness of the plight of these animals on both national and international scales.
