Thank you, Lord!

Our family celebrated Thanksgiving this year in our little home.  We had 30 here with 9 children under 7 years and it was marvelous.  Everyone came and helped set up the tables and chairs

StoryTrax is getting busy. I'm not saying it hasn't been busy, but it's fun to see new stories everyday. About the yehah thing.

Why do Leaves Change Color?

Hey chickadees---thought I'd bring a lil fun science into your worlds.

Join the Revolution this weekend

Location(s) Fort RoberdeauTyrone, PASee map: Google MapsA fife tune from behind the fort. A field of canvas tents. A war whoop from the woods. The crack of a rifle. The boom of a cannon.

The Tunnel In The Basement

You've seen it in the movies a million times. Bunch of little kids discover some cool thing that's been lost for centuries, and have an adventure. Well, I've been there.

In Search of Treasure

Since moving into my home three years ago, I've learned considerable amounts of it's history. My place was built in 1884 by a Civil War vet, and his granddaughter killed herself here in 1905 and still haunts the place. It was reworked in 1942, though parts of the house are still original. It passed through several owners before I bought the place in 2003.

THE FUN IN DANCING

I found this footage at YOUTUBE.COM from a square dance that I recently attended. The funny thing is I could have sworn I was in that square.

SNOW DAY STORIES!

OK so as a teacher I'm on Snow Day #2 in a row, almost UNHEARD of, but since the general area (aka the NORTHEAST) has been dumped on, lots of us are shut down and in due to the weather (Punxy Phil's revenge?)
