Recording Session
I've been recording records since 1995 and it's been an interesting ride. I've recorded for several labels, but about 10 years ago I found a record company called Silver Sounds that I really like. The owner, producer and head musician is JACK O'LEARY and he is fantastic on the keyboards. When he sends me the music, I go across town to my other good musician buddy JACK SERVELLO, and I get him to lay down a guitar track or two. Both of these dudes are master Jacks.
The latest record that I am recording is called I DON'T WANT TO LIVE ON THE MOON , originally done by Ernie, from Sesame Street with Aaron Neville. I am going to be recording the song with one of my favorite callers, JOE SALTEL. Here's a clip of my version recording in Jack Servello's studio. Jack is so easy to work with. If anyone ever needs any type of music or voice recordings, contact Jack.
Recording studio time is great, because I usually look like a beach bum when I go into the studio. 5 o'clock shadow, baseball cap and flip flops. I've gotta be relaxed when I do this stuff.
Here's the original with Ernie and Aaron. What a great children's lullabye.
I can't wait to hear Joe's part. It's going to be great! Here's a story I wrote about the best recording session ever...enjoy this one! http://www.storytrax.com/node/516
