CDL
I recently had to get a Commerical Driver's License. I've worked in activities with seniors since 1995, and the buses they use to drive them around are getting bigger. So, after the entire process was all done....took about a month....I took 3 written tests, and 3 kinds of driving tests. It wasn't easy for me. I really had to hit the books. I've driven the seniors around in vans for years, but they really want the activities dept. to be better trained with these larger vehicles.
The humorous thing about the whole deal is I tested in a full sized yellow school bus. The 2 people who tested me just kept chuckling at me. I kept asking, " I'd like to drive the short bus!" They made the point of saying stuff like, " Now, imagine 70 kids, without seatbelts screaming their heads off every day...oh, but you get summers off." Ha ha. They thought they were pretty funny.
I actually waited until the entire 4 hours of testing in the rain was over. I passed, and finally I told them that I wouldn't be driving 70 screaming kids around everyday. They looked puzzled. As I left with my CDL in hand, I said, " I'll be driving an omni-bus with about a dozen seniors with 2 activity aides in the back with them, once or twice a month." They now looked bewildered. "But, have fun with those 70 kids, and leave me to my short bus" I said sarcastically as I strided out of the garage.
Here's my photo that appears on my license.....I wish.

Nice photo
Didn't realize you were that handsome. Some of those senior ladies will be hitting on you.
I was a school bus driver in the early 70's. I drove some field trips too. The kids were great. No drugs, guns and knifes back then.
At a rain slicked highway intersection, I accidentally bumped a car from behind and caused a minor accident. The kids burst into cheers when they realized what had happened. From that point on they would say, "hey mom there's the guy that wrecked our bus."
