First Day 2007

This image blog is for all anglers, young or old,  who still have a little kid living inside and can remember the sheer joy you experienced on the first day of trout season.

I hope the parents and grownups that see this blog will send me an email so I can send a jpeg copy of the images and a copy of the video file. You can save and share the internet copies or the Blog URL, but a high resolution file is needed if you want to make a print.  I didn’t have time to get everyone’s names so I will list the photos by number. Just tell me what number belongs to you.  The stars of this blog are the kids and real heroes are the parents, grandparents, and other adults who served as “angler escorts!”

A better time “not fishing” on the first day of trout season I cannot remember. What a treat!

That was awesome

Reminds of the days of Westsylvania Adventures, when kids got the opportunity to catch their first fish. I hope you hear from the parents of some of those kids. They are great photos.

Your Turn Is Coming

It will not be long until you and your son are participating.  I have a "sure thing" bait that you can have!

Thanks.

Thanks I could use a "sure thing" bait. My brother and always used worms and a bobber (sp?) to fish. It was not until we could afford salmon eggs did we really start catching fish. Most of course were sunnies.

Good Job !

Thank you Mr.York, that was great to watch, you gotta love kids on opening day of trout season, it looks like all invloved young and old had a great time.

Fun for all

It was a great morning!  Don't believe that nonsense about kids won't leave the TV and video games.  That is a lie told by lazy adults!

Great Day!

Nice job, Mr. York! Looks like everybody had a good time. Forty years from now, when they tell their opening day story, they'll have the pics to share!

Thanks Z

It was fun!  Or as one youngster put it, "this is the bomb! "   I'm guessing that was a positive comment, right?
