OBX
Spring has arrived to Central PA. Warm days, robbins, and the need to start yard cleanup. I on the otherhand I like to daydream. I am itching to *get me to a beach*. Anywhere on the outerbanks would be most respectable. There are days when I am taking a deep breath in and I swear I can smell salt, sea salt. On the last dreary day high up in the sky I saw 30+ seagulls swirling amongst the dark ominous clouds. Is this a sign? On my last big adventure to OBX a group of 20 adults stayed in a beach house for 1 week. Great times. I even caught a flounder. I guess I just want to squeeze my toes and feel sand beneath and ocean around. I guess I can always play seagull sounds on my son's sound machine and dump sand in the tub..I just isn't the same. OBX here I come "where the living is easy and the air is sweet".

The OBX Sticker
Just the other day I saw an OBX sticker on a car in front of me and I thought how much I wish I were at the beach. Spend a half a day on a dive boat and ther other half walking on the beach or sitting in a rocking chair on the porch reading some book but being always being interupted by the gentle roar of the surf. I can smell the fresh salt air.
Anyone have any idea on how the OBX sticker became popular?
Clay hardens by immobility – men's minds by standing pat. Both lose the power to take new impressions. (Pinchot 1910: 138)
