Riffles & Runs Bed & Breakfast

Innkeepers Connie and Steve McCulley chose the name 'Riffles and Runs' because of Steve's love of flyfishing. This classic Victorian is two blocks from the center of town, within walking distance of the Centre County Historical and Genealogical Library, Ultimate Health and Fitness Club, Talleyrand Park, the world headquarters (as of 2004) of the American Philatelic Society, as well as churches, restaurants, and shopping. We are also a mere 12 minutes via freeway from Penn State's University Park Campus and Beaver Stadium.

All rooms are comfortably furnished and mornings at Riffles and Runs welcome guests to a home-cooked, delicious breakfast in a sunny dining room furnished in period antiques. We use only the best ingredients and offer a hearty fare ranging from traditional to vegetarian...

Fishermen can look forward to comfortable, homelike lodging within minutes of first-class trout streams, along with professional assistance by the resident fishing expert and guide

Famed Spring Creek runs right through Bellefonte, fed in Talleyrand Park by the mighty 11-million-gallon-per-day Big Spring -- "La Belle Fonte" that gives the historic borough its name. But within a few minutes drive are Penn's Creek, Buffalo Run, Spruce Creek and other less well-known angling spots your host will be happy to show you.

Riffles & Runs Bed & Breakfast and Outfitters is....

Near the heart of Victorian Bellefonte, in the Historic District....

One mile from I-99, 3 miles from I-80, 10 miles from Beaver Stadium and the main Penn State campus, and in the middle of some of the best trout fishing country in the East.

We're looking forward to your visit, and will do everything possible to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. We offer roomy, old-fashioned and spotless bedrooms with European-style accommodations, early-morning coffee or tea and a paper in your room, and an evening toast with the hosts of the day's successes battling the elusive trout.
