Lions and tigers and bears..OH MY

Do you remember...do you remember when so many years ago there was that special something.  It would come by post (snail mail), be a surprise at the bottom of a cracker jack box, or even won at a local fair.  That priceless item that only a child could love and adore, was a trinket.  Any shape or size would do.  As a child I remember my parents drinking Red Rose Tea.  My brother and I would wait for the chance to open that new box and smell the fresh fragrance of tea.  We were allowed to finger through the tea bags and happen upon a tiny animal that would adorn the windowsill in the kitchen.  A small trinket shiny and new.  Eagles, dogs, owls, hippos, and squirrels,  we had them all and then some.  Even now my father is probably drinking a cup of Red Rose Tea, the lucky animal has been found, and the windowsill is decorated with yet another trinket....but always from that lucky box of Red Rose Tea.

Welcome RedRose

Hi there and welcome to the community of storytellers! It is so great to have you here and I love your blog. My wife and I get the boxes of Red Rose Tea because of the small porcelein animals. My mother-in-law, similar to you, has the animals displayed on the window sill in the kitchen. I even have a box here at the office.

Those little gifts and prizes at the bottom of boxes makes us all feel like winners. I look forward to more of your blogs and don't forget to add to your microsite. I look forward to seeing you on the site.

 Thanks
