Heritage Christmas Tours

The Baker Mansion is decorated for the Holidays. Tours are on Saturday evening December 9th from 7 to 9 pm and Sunday afternoon December 10 from 2 to 4 pm. Because this is the 100 birth year of the Blair County Historical Society the different rooms of the Baker Mansion are decorated in different decade starting with 1906. Admission charged. Did you remember the first artificial tree, hoola hoops, green bean casserole, the poodle skirt, Chex Mix and Spritz cookies? All were introduced in the 1950"s

I didn't realize that green bean casserole was a product of the fifties. Another reason to celebrate!
