Whitewater Park

I recently took time to swing by Tire Hill, PA which is just south of Johnstown,  to visit Greenhouse Recreation Park and the new Whitewater Park on the Stonycreek River.  I took some pictures and spent a few minutes talking to kayaker, Jason Rigby from Greensburg.   Jason  gave me some contact names to get more information.

I made a few calls and learned of the Whitewater Park Grand Opening scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Thursday June 5th, and also found this link to a Pittsburgh Post Gazette article about the park.  Read moreMapping Link to Tire Hill
