Divining Gloria Gaynor

So I've always thought it was good to raise kids with music.  But that classical stuff, while great and yeah Im as guilty as the next for Baby Einsteining my kids, there's only so much of that I can take.  Besides, it's getting them the melodies and the rhythms that helps their development, so classic rock or 70s &80s tunes are just as good.

My 5yrold dd has the same (useless) talent I do----we know all the lyrics after one exposure.  Eve's first was John Denver...you ain't seen nothing if you ain't seen the video of a  2yrold singing Country Roads.  She knows the Corcodile Rock, she knows Metallica, she knows Shania, even some Usher (that is her dad, the whitest man in america, ugh)

She's 5 now, and will be off to kindergarten in the fall.  It's time.  Time for her to learn Mommie's 2 all time favorite part-ay songs "I will Survive" and "Dancing Queen"

Tonight, on the way home from dance class, we divined Gloria.  It was amazing.  The first time thru, she told me to sing quieter (hey wait, this is my SONG!)  the 2nd time through, i could hear her....when she belted out the OH! it was AMAZING!!!!  Not that she is some protegee voice, just the fact that she  KNOWS the lyrics, and unabashedly belts them out.

I love training kids.  CAn't wait to get her on some ABBA.
