Favorite Holiday Lights?

Location(s)

Auto Wholesalers Holiday Lights
Hollidaysburg, PA
See map: Google Maps
Do you have a favorite holiday display that we should all go see? The post about the Holiday Lights on the Lake reminded me that it's time to start making the rounds, checking out the lights.

One of my favorites is at a most unexpected place -- a car/truck/equipment sales lot along Route 22 about five miles east of Hollidaysburg (between Geeseytown and Canoe Creek -- see map). Every year, the creative folks at Auto Wholesalers select a truck or piece of equipment from their lot and deck it out in thousands of lights. In the last 11 years (I don't know how long they've been doing this), they've decorated a backhoe, a garbage truck, a bucket truck, a bulldozer, a dump truck, I just can't remember them all! My favorite was the year that they did the road grader -- it was spectacular! They always do "chaser lights" around the wheels or tracks, which always makes it great fun. Because the lights are away from the lights of town, they are particularly luminous! This year, they've done a great job decorating a conveyor/continuous loader, complete with a line of presents on the conveyor belt.

What's your favorite display, and how can we get to it?

Another great one

I was in Tyrone, PA today -- the entire downtown has great lights! Stars on the light poles, bows arching across the streets. Can't wait to see it at night because it looked good, even in the daylight!

Delgrosso Amusement park

There is another great light display at Delgrosso Amusement park. You can drive by and see the park lit up for the holidays in white clear lights. It is breathtaking.

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Lights

Every year, I look forward to New Enterprise Stone and Lime to put one of their extremely large Yuke trucks by the road.  They put a big Santa Clause inside and stream lights all around it.  They use those lights around the wheels to make them look like they are spinning.  Very pretty.

NES&L & woodbury Tree

This year New Enterprise Stone and Lime will have a crane out there.  Thats the latest that I've heard anyways.  They usually put a santa doll in the drivers seat as well.

I love to see the huge Pine tree on the hill in Woodbury.  I believe Over's own that and it is beautiful to see every year.
