A Storyteller in Maine

South Portland
Portland, MEMy brother loves Maine. He left to go to Maine as one of Elliot’s Police Officers and it was not too long afterward that he got accepted into the Maine State Police. He has been with them for over 8-10 years. He loves his work and I love to go visit him. Justin is a year younger than I am and for many years as we moved from place to place Justin was my best friend. So although it is hard for me to have him 10 hours away it is nice to travel north and see him, my nieces and nephews, and that beautiful state.
This past summer I made the trip with my other brother, long time personal friend, Cory Geishauser. He had never been to Maine. So we packed up his Toyota Camry and off we went for an extended weekend to visit my brother. The video does a far better job of capturing our all to brief weekend….
You need to travel with an artist. When Cory discovered South Portland he was blown away by the quaint the shops, pubs, restaurants, and museums. He was so taken by South Portland that he asked for my digital camera. While Justin I strolled along the sidewalk Cory took pictures. Only later did I realize he took pictures of…SIGNS. The signs in South Portland tell a story and Cory could read that story. Like I said, you need to travel with an artist. In all the time I traveled north I never noticed. The video will show you what I am talking about….
Cory and I regretted leaving Justin in Maine. We loved sitting in a local Barbeque joint as the owner talked about the legendary bachelor party he had 3 years ago. That Bachelor Party was my brothers. We miss the rugged coast, the neat shops, and the history. It’s a great place to visit. We hope you get a chance to explore Maine someday and if you get pulled over by a Maine State Trooper and his name is Justin….tell him his brother Erin says hello and I will be up soon.

Wish I Was There
I have to say that I can look forward to another trip "up north" to that beautiful country. Even though fall and winter is fast approaching the scenery is still georgous and from the looks of things the men are cute too. Just a jab guys =) I can see how much you enjoyed your trip and the restaurants look warm and welcoming. Congratulations to your brother having a beautiful family. I live in Central PA...can you tell me how long is the drive to Maine? I might just plan a trip soon..Thanks
Until next time.... Redrosetea for me
